Mountain Cedar Pollen Forecast

Regional weather: Tuesday, December 11 TX/OK/AR: High pressure is moving east today with precipitation developing across the Edwards Plateau this evening into tomorrow. Regional high temperatures on Tuesday will be in the 60 s with clouds and precipitation building from the west to the east in the late afternoon to evening. Winds will be consistently from the south to south-southeast from 10 to 15 miles per hour. Thunderstorms may occur during the evening hours into Wednesday. Tuesday night low temperatures will be in the mid-50 s with a broken cloud deck and sunnier condition on Wednesday. High temperatures on Wednesday return to the mid to upper 60 s. To the north in Oklahoma and Arkansas, similar temperature ranges prevail but winds become stronger. Oklahoma City may see steady winds of 20 to 25 miles per hour on Tuesday, but these conditions subside going into Wednesday. Regional low temperatures will be in the upper 40 s and low 50 s Tuesday evening/Wednesday morning with high temperatures only in the mid 50 s. Precipitation is likely throughout the area. Wednesday winds are steady from the south to southeast and 10 to 15 miles per hour.
Trajectory weather: Partly to mostly cloudy today, high in the mid 50's. Increasing chance of precipitation tonight and tomorrow. Low temperatures Tuesday night in the mid to upper 40 s with high temperatures on Wednesday only reaching the mid to low 50 s. Precipitation predicted for Wednesday. Winds on Tuesday and Wednesday will be from the south to southeast, 10-15 miles per hour.

OUTLOOK: *** Low Threat ***Conditions are highly unfavorable for release today. In most areas with Juniperus ashei trees temperatures will barely reach the tolerance range and with precipitation in the forecast humidity will remain high. In addition, informants in Texas suggest that the cones have yet to ripen, therefore pollen release has not yet begun. Residents throughout southern plains should have another day without any ill effects. No pollen release is expected. Low Risk of Exposure.
