and Fri, Dec 22 and 23. TX/OK:
Warmer temperatures return to the area for the next couple of days. Skies will be clear to partly cloudy and winds
from the south throughout the region. On Thursday daytime highs will be in the upper 50s to low 60s in Oklahoma
and mid to upper 60s in Texas. Nighttime lows will be in the upper 30s to mid 40s. Temperatures on Friday will
be 5 to 10 degrees warmer. A weak cold front will move into the area on Saturday dropping temperatures about 10
degrees.
Trajectory weather: The air mass trajectories from the Edwards
Plateau Texas move to the northeast today. The trajectories from the western side of the plateau begin to shift
back to the south on Friday night ahead of Saturday’s cold front. Friday’s trajectories all show initial movement
to the north but again shift back to the south on Saturday.
OUTLOOK: *** Low threat *** Although conditions
are good for pollen release, the severe drought throughout the region has delayed the pollen season. At this time
we do not have confirmation that the trees have started to pollinate.
