Date Issued: 15 Dec 2006
Mountain Cedar Location(s): Arbuckle Mountains, OK
Regional Weather: Fri and Sat, Dec 15 and 16. TX/OK:
Clear to partly cloudy conditions continue across the region with moderate southerly winds. Humidity remains low
across the region. Conditions will remain dry today and tomorrow, and temperatures will remain well above normal
with daytime highs in the 70s. Night time lows will be in the mid 40s to low 60s. There is a chance of some rain
Sunday night and Monday and much cooler temperatures next week as a strong frontal system approaches.
Trajectory weather: The air mass trajectories today and Saturday move from the Arbuckle Mountains to the north, northeast. The trajectories show reasonably good characteristics for entrainment and travel. If Arbuckle populations are releasing pollen, we may see some in northeast Oklahoma today and tomorrow but concentration will likely be low to moderate. However it is still early in the season.
OUTLOOK: *** Low to Moderate threat *** Conditions
are good for pollen release today and Saturday; however, we are at the beginning of the pollen season. Concentrations
near the source population may be somewhat elevated.
Trajectory Start (s) (shown by black
star on map): Sulfur, OK.
