Regional Weather: Wed and Thurs, Dec 20 and 21. TX/OK: Scattered showers are likely throughout the Oklahoma-Texas region during the day today. Daytime temperatures today will range from the mid to upper 50s in Oklahoma to the upper 60s to low 70s in Texas. Night time temperatures will range from the mid 30s to low 40s. Winds will be generally from the south but shifting to west northwest in Texas during the early afternoon. A dry Pacific air mass will move into the area tonight bringing drier and slightly cooler temperatures tomorrow. Thursday will see clear to partly cloudy skies with temperatures in the 50s in Oklahoma and 60s in Texas. Winds will be variable across the region on Thursday with moderate south to southwest winds in Oklahoma and northwest winds in Texas.

 

Trajectory weather: The air mass trajectories move from the Arbuckle Mountains to the east northeast and then shift to the north. The trajectories on Wednesday show poor characteristics for entrainment and travel associated with rain throughout the state during the day. Trajectories on Thursday move to the northeast and show better characteristics for travel. Conditions at the source are wet and not conducive to pollen release today. Conditions improve tomorrow as the region starts to dry out
