Regional weather: Friday, December 24 - TX/OK: High pressure will continue to govern the weather over the weekend. The upper-atmosphere Low in the Southwest will probably move a bit westward. Circulation around the High will bring moisture into sections of southern and western TX..... clouds and a chance of mostly light precipitation. Most areas of OK/TX will remain fair and dry. Temperatures will be seasonal to mild. Highs in the 50's and 60's today, mostly 50's Saturday. Lows tonight and Saturday night ranging from the 20's north to 40's south.

Trajectory weather: Austin: Partly cloudy today and this evening, high in the low 60's. Becoming mostly cloudy later this evening and overnight, low in the 40's. Mostly cloudy Saturday, high in the mid-60's. Junction / San Angelo: Mostly cloudy today and tonight, high in the low 60's, low in the 30's. Mostly cloudy with a chance of light rain Big Bend area on Saturday, high in the upper 50's. Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain far west TX and southeast NM, high in the low 50's.

OUTLOOK: *** Moderate Threat *** Pollen release expected. Conditions are favorable today for pollen release. Temperatures and humidities should be in the favorable ranges by late morning. We have no recent reports from field observers concerning cone maturity, but most cones are probably ready for pollen release at this point in the season. Resisdents of southern and western Texas may feel some ill effects from today's release, most likely this afternoon and tonight. TK
