Galan et al. 2003. The
authors compared emergency room admissions for asthma with air pollution,
pollen levels, and meteorological data. The findings suggest the PM10, NO2
and ozone are positively and significantly associated with asthma admissions.
This effect was independent of airborne pollen levels.
