Gergen et al. 1992. Authors
studied people and reactivity to various allergens to see if a relationship
exists between specific allergies by skin test and allergic rhinitis, asthma,
chronic rhinitis or sinusitis. It was
found that the greater number of positive skin test reactions were associated with
allergic rhinitis. In addition, asthma
was found to be related with dust mite and Alternaria
allergy. Allergic rhinitis was related
to ragweed, ryegrass, dust mite and Alternaria
allergy.
