Krug
et al. 2003. This study tested
an environmental exposure unit for controlled human exposure studies to orchard
grass pollen. Sensitive patients were exposed to concentrations of 1,000 to
8,000 grains/m3. The results showed dose-dependent induction of rhinitis
symptoms over time. The authors concluded that the environmental exposure unit is
a suitable method for clinical studies and basic research.
