Newhouse and Levetin. 2004. This
study compared self-reported asthma and rhinitis symptoms and peak flow
readings with outdoor allergen concentrations, pollutants, and meteorological
conditions. Peak symptoms occurred during the peak of the ragweed season and
again following a major temperature change. Significant correlations were found
between symptoms and ragweed pollen and other environmental variables including
ozone levels.
