Regional weather: Tuesday, January 11 - TX/OK: Region will be largely influenced by high pressure through mid-week. Cold front will move through northern and eastern sections of the region tonight but no rain and few clouds are expected with its passage. Mostly sunny days and clear nights through Wednesday with temperatures above or much above normal for this time of year. Highs mostly in the 60's and 70's with some 50's north; lows mostly in the 30's and 40's with some 20's north.

OUTLOOK: *** Serious Threat *** Pollen Update 10 Jan: Bill Durbon and his observers in Junction report that "pollen is starting to pop all over the place". There is no new information from other areas of the Plateau but it is plausible that cones in other locations are ready as well. *** Conditions are favorable for pollen release today. Temperatures and humidities will be in the favorable ranges for much of the day. Strong Release Expected. Residents of central and northern TX may feel some ill effects today and tonight. Residents in southeast OK and western AR may be affected on Wednesday. *** Given the past and continuing dry weather, it appears that pollen production may be comparatively less this year and likely spotty in nature. We will continue to update you on the situation as we receive more information. *** TK
