Regional weather: Friday, January 14 - TX/OK: High pressure will control the weather for the weekend. Moist flow off the Gulf of Mexico is causing some clouds and showers in deep South TX and some variable cloudiness in south-central TX. Cloudiness will increase today for other parts of southern TX and there may be some drizzle tonight. Otherwise, fair weather will prevail, and the chance of rain will diminish for southern TX as the center of the High moves away to the east. Late-night/early morning clouds in some areas Saturday night are expected. Warming trend through the weekend. Highs today 50's and 60's, lows tonight 30's to 50's, highs Saturday 60's and 70's.

OUTLOOK: *** Serious Threat *** Disease Update 10 Jan: Bill Durbon and his observers in Junction report that "pollen is starting to pop all over the place". 12 Jan: Additional reports from other areas of Texas indicate increased pollen release for many areas *** Favorable conditions for pollen release. Temperatures and humidities are in the favorable ranges Plateau-wide at 11am local time. Winds will increase out of the southwest later today and may carry the pollen great distances. Airborne pollen will be moving through central and northern TX this afternoon and evening..... southwest and north-central OK and eastern KS overnight.... northern MO and northern IL on Saturday. TK
