Regional weather: Friday, January 5 - TX/OK/AR: Sunny/clear today and tonight region-wide. Weak front is moving through central sections today. Wind shift is the only item to mark its passage. Highs from the mid-40's Ozarks to the 70's southern TX. Lows tonight mostly in the 20's and 30's. Partly cloudy and continued warm on Saturday.

Trajectory weather: Sunny today with a high in the low 70's. Mostly clear tonight, lows from the low 30's to low 40's. Becoming partly cloudy on Saturday, highs in the 60's hill country, 70's Rio Grande plains.

Trajectory confidence: High.

OUTLOOK: *** Moderate / Serious Threat *** Favorable conditions for pollen release. Temperatures and humidities moved into the favorable ranges during the late morning over nearly all areas of the Edwards Plateau. Winds are light to moderate and appear to be stronger toward the western sections. Significant release is possible today. There is Moderate to HIGH Risk of exposure for residents of the Edwards Plateau.... the Texas hill country.... and south-central Texas, extending into the Rio Grande plains region tonight. This includes the metropolitan areas of Austin and San Antonio. Similar conditions will exist on Saturday and significant release is again possible. Preliminary trajectories show that southern Texas is the region most likely to be affected. TK
