Mountain Cedar Location(s): Arbuckle Mountains, OK

Regional Weather: Monday and Tuesday, Jan 19-20. TX/OK: The region will see cooler temperatures for the next few days under the influence of a cold Canadian air mass. Daytime highs will be in the upper 30s in Oklahoma and nighttime lows in the 20s. Highs in Texas will be in the 40s in the north and mid 50s in the south. Lows Monday night will be in the 20s. Monday will have clear to partly cloudy skies throughout the region and winds from the north, northeast. Winds will begin shifting to southeasterly late Monday and clouds will increase on Tuesday with a chance of precipitation beginning late Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday. Any precipitation will be rain in the south, but there is a chance of snow or rain/snow mix in north Texas and Oklahoma.

Trajectory weather: The air mass trajectories move from the Arbuckle Mountains to the southwest and then circle back to the north over central and western Oklahoma. Sunny skies will prevail across the region but low temperatures at the source site today with below freezing conditions expected overnight.Air mass trajectories move northwest tomorrow on southesterly winds and then circle around to the east as the next frontly system enters the area.

OUTLOOK: *** Low Threat today/Moderate tomorrow *** Unfavorable conditions for pollen release. Sunny dry conditions will occur today, but temperatures in the upper 30s will reduce the chance of any significant pollen release making for unfavorable conditions.  Cold temperatures tonight and continued cold will also reduce chances of pollen release from the cedar population in Oklahoma. However, there is a moderate risk of exposure tomorrow from the Texas cedar populations - see Texas forecasts.
