Regional Weather: Wednesday and Thursday, Jan 26 and 27. TX/OK: Another Canadian air mass will move through the region today bringing somewhat cooler temperatures for the next few days.Temperatures on Wednesday will be in the 50s and low 60s in Oklahoma and the upper 60s and 70s in Texas. Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy. In Oklahoma winds will be from the North today and in Texas winds will gradually shift to northerly. Overnight lows will be in the 30s and 40s. On Thursday highs will be in the 40s in Oklahoma and the 50s in Texas. Winds will be from the northeast and shifting to the east. Skies will be mostly cloudy with possiblity of scattered showers in Texas.

 

Trajectory weather: On Wednesday the air mass trajectories move from the Arbuckle Mountains to the southwest over west Texas and then turn back around to the north. Partly cloudy will prevail across the region with temperatures in the 50s and low 60s. Thursday's trajectories show movement to the west and then north as the winds shift to the east and then to the southeast. Temperatures will be in the mid 40s tomorrow which will be marginal for pollen release.


OUTLOOK: *** Moderate Threat Wednesday/Low Threat Thursday *** Favorable conditions for pollen release Wednesday, marginal on Thursday. Partly cloudy skies. mild temperatures and moderate winds make for favorable conditions for pollen release on Wednesday. However we are past the peak of the pollen season making for a moderate risk. However those close to the population source may still be exposed to significant amounts of pollen.
