Warm, windy conditions continue throughout the region on Saturday and Sunday. Daytime highs on Saturday will be
in the 60s and nighttime lows in the mid to upper 40s. Sunday’s high temperatures will be in the upper 60s to low
70s. Skies will be clear to partly cloudy on Saturday and partly to mostly cloudy on Sunday. Strong and gusty southerly
winds and dry conditions will be present throughout the weekend. A red flag fire watch is in effect for several
counties in both states through Sunday afternoon. The next frontal system will move into the area on Monday bring
a slight chance to precipitation to the area.
Trajectory weather: The air mass trajectories move from
the Arbuckle Mountains to the north, northeast over central and eastern Oklahoma and southeast Missouri. The trajectories
show good characteristics for entrainment and travel. Trajectories on Sunday show similar movement to the northeast
with good characteristics for pollen transport. Weather at the source area will be warm Saturday afternoon after
a cold morning. Favorable temperatures continue on Sunday.
OUTLOOK: *** High to Very High risk *** Conditions are
good for pollen release today and better on Sunday; however, the severe drought throughout the region may have
reduced the overall pollen load for the season.
