Warm, windy conditions continue throughout the region on Saturday and Sunday. Daytime highs on Saturday will be
in the 60s and nighttime lows in the mid to upper 40s. Sunday’s high temperatures will be in the upper 60s to low
70s. Skies will be clear to partly cloudy on Saturday and partly to mostly cloudy on Sunday. Strong and gusty southerly
winds and dry conditions will be present throughout the weekend. A red flag fire watch is in effect for several
counties in both states through Sunday afternoon. The next frontal system will move into the area on Monday bring
a slight chance to precipitation to the area.
Trajectory weather: The air mass trajectories from the Edwards
Plateau Texas move to the northeast today over north Texas and into Oklahoma. Sunday’s trajectories from the eastern
side of the Plateau move northeast. Those from the western side of the Plateau move northeast during the day on
Sunday but then shift to the east, southeast under the influence of the frontal system that will move into the
area on Monday. Weather conditions at the source areas on Saturday and Sunday are favorable for pollen release
and trajectories are conducive to pollen transport on Saturday. Sunday’s trajectories are mixed as the winds begin
to shift around ahead of the frontal system.
