Regional Weather: Thurs and Fri, Jan 18 and 19. TX/OK:
Cool weather continues across the region although temperatures will be at or above freezing for Thurs and Fri.
Daytime highs both days will range from the mid 30s to the mid 40s. Overnight lows will range from the low 20s
to the upper 30s. Winds will be light and variable across the region today and shifting to the north on Friday
through much of the region. Skies will be cloudy with increasing chance of precipitation tomorrow in Texas as the
next storm system approaches the region.
Trajectory weather: The air mass trajectories from the Edwards Plateau Texas move to the southwest and then
curve to the north. Trajectories show poor characteristics for entrainment and travel. Conditions at the source
areas on the Plateau are still not favorable for pollen release although temperatures are approaching the favorable
range. On Friday trajectories move to the southwest and then circle around in west Texas. Trajectory characteristics
continue to be poor for entrainment and travel. Conditions at the source areas will be unfavorable for pollen release
with increasing chance of rain and low temperatures.
OUTLOOK: *** Low threat *** Mostly unfavorable conditions for pollen
release today and tomorrow.
