Regional Weather: Sun and Mon, Jan 21 and 22. TX/OK: There will be varied weather conditions across the region on Sunday and Monday. Today will bring warmer temperatures after the cold conditions of last week. High temperatures in Oklahoma today will range from the upper 30s to the upper 40s with cloudy skies and light variable winds. Texas will have mild temperatures ranging from the mid 50s to the mid 60s with clear to partly cloudy skies and variable winds. By late afternoon the winds will be shifting to the north as the next cold front begins moving into the region. Overnight lows will range from the mid 20s in Oklahoma to the mid and upper 30s in Texas. Monday will bring cloudy skies and moderate northerly winds to the area. Highs on Monday will be in the mid 30s in Oklahoma and the mid 40s in Texas. There is a chance of rain and even areas of freezing rain in Texas on Monday.

Trajectory weather: The air mass trajectories from the Edwards Plateau Texas circle around in central and west Texas. The trajectories show moderate characteristics for entrainment and travel. Conditions at the source areas on the Plateau are cold this morning but warming quickly to the favorable range. In addition pollen cones will need time to dry after the recent wet conditions. This will limit pollen release to the afternoon hours. Monday's trajectories move to the southwest and show poor to moderate characteristics for entrainment and travel. Conditions at the source areas will be cold on Monday and mostly unfavorable for pollen release.

OUTLOOK: *** Moderate threat today/ Low threat tomorrow *** Cold morning temperatures and recent wet conditions will limit pollen release to the afternoon hours. On Monday conditions will be mostly unfavorable for pollen release.
