Regional Weather: Tues and Wed, Jan 23 and 24. TX/OK:
Clear to partly cloudy skies with seasonable day time temperatures and cool nights will be in place today and Wednesday
in Oklahoma. Day time highs will be the upper 40s and night time lows from the upper 20s. Winds today will be light
to moderate and from southwest or west; tomorrow winds will be from the north. Central Texas will have day time
highs in the mid 40s to low 50s and night time lows in the 30s with northerly winds. There is a chance or rain
throughout the Plateau and central Texas today and Wednesday.
Trajectory weather: The air mass trajectories move from the Arbuckle Mountains to the east, southeast over
southeastern Oklahoma and east Texas. The trajectories are associated with cold sinking air and show poor characteristics
for entrainment and travel. Conditions at the source are cold this morning but will warm to the favorable range
by early afternoon. Trajectories on Wednesday begin moving to the south then turn to southwest and show poor to
moderate characteristics for entrainment and travel. Conditions at the source will again be cold in the morning
and only reaching the favorable range in the afternoon.
OUTLOOK: *** Low to moderate threat *** Low
morning temperatures will limit pollen release to afternoon hours today and tomorrow.
