Regional Weather: Thurs and Fri, Jan 25 and 26. TX/OK:
Clear to partly cloudy skies with mild temperatures will be in place today and Friday in Oklahoma and Texas. Day
time highs will range from the upper 40s to low 50s in Oklahoma and upper 50s to mid 60s in Texas. Night time lows
will range from the upper 20s to upper 30s. Winds today will be light and variable. High temperatures on Friday
will range from the mid 50s to low 60s with moderate southerly or southeast winds. There is a small chance of rain
or thunderstorms on Friday in central Texas.
Trajectory weather: The air mass trajectories move from the Arbuckle Mountains to the northeast, over northeastern
Oklahoma and Missouri. The trajectories show moderate characteristics for entrainment and travel. Conditions at
the source are cold this morning but will quickly warm to the favorable range. Trajectories on Friday begin moving
to the north and then turn to east and show poor to moderate characteristics for entrainment and travel. Conditions
at the source will again be cold in the morning but will quickly warm to the favorable range
OUTLOOK: *** Moderate to High threat *** Low morning
temperatures will limit pollen release to afternoon hours today and tomorrow but afternoon conditions will be favorable
for pollen release. Trajectories show only moderate characteristics for downwind movement so much of the pollen
may remain close to the source.
