Regional Weather: Sun and Mon, Jan 28 and 29. TX/OK:
Cool conditions across the region today and Monday. Daytime highs on Sunday will be in the mid to upper 30s in
Oklahoma and the mid 40s to mid 50s in Texas. Skies will be clear to partly cloudy with moderate northerly or northeast
winds. Winds will be shifting to southerly winds this evening or overnight. Lows tonight will range from the 20s
to mid 30s. Temperatures on Monday will range from the mid 40s in Oklahoma to the mid 50s in Texas. Skies will
be partly to mostly cloudy with moderate winds from the south. In Oklahoma winds will be shifting back to northerly
on Monday afternoon.
Trajectory weather: The air mass trajectories move from the Arbuckle Mountains to the southeast and then
curve to the northeast as the winds shift to southerly. The trajectories show poor to moderate characteristics
for entrainment and travel. Conditions at the source are cold this morning and may not reach favorable range today
except in sheltered areas. Trajectories on Monday begin moving to the east then turn to southwest and continue
show only moderate characteristics for entrainment and travel. Conditions at the source will again be cold in the
morning and only reaching the favorable range in the afternoon.
OUTLOOK: *** Low threat today/ Low to moderate threat Monday *** Conditions today mostly
unfavorable. On Monday low morning temperatures will limit pollen release to afternoon hours.
