Regional Weather: Thurs and Fri, Feb 1 and 2. TX/OK:
Conditions remain frigid in Oklahoma with chances of snow through Friday. Temperatures today in Oklahoma will be
in the low 30s with northeast winds and periods of light snow. Overnight lows will be in the upper teens to low
20s. On Friday temperatures will be in the upper 20s with northeast winds. In Texas, temperatures today and Friday
will range from the upper 30s in the north to the low 60s in central and southern Texas with variable winds and
scattered showers possible. Lows tonight will range from the mid 30s to low 40s. Friday will see partly cloudy
skies in Texas and moderate to strong north or northeast winds.
Trajectory weather: The air mass trajectories from the Edwards Plateau Texas mainly move to the east. The
trajectories show good characteristics for entrainment and travel. Conditions at the source areas on the Plateau
are cold this morning which will limit pollen release to the afternoon hours. Chances of rain will also decrease
the possibility of pollen release. Friday's trajectories continue to move to the east. Trajectory characteristics
show moderate characteristics for entrainment and travel. Conditions at the source areas will be cold again on
Friday morning limiting pollen release to the afternoon hours.
OUTLOOK: *** Moderate threat *** Cold morning temperatures and chance of
rain will limit pollen release.
