Regional Weather: Wednesday, Jan 16. TX/OK: A
cold front will move across the southern plains and Texas today and into Thursday. Temperatures today will be in
the mid to upper 40s in Oklahoma but dropping as the front moves through the area. Skies will be cloudy and winds
from the south, southeast shifting to the northwest as the front moves through the state. Chances of rain increase
in the afternoon and evening possibly changing to snow or light freezing rain. Highs in Texas will range from the
low 50s in the north to the low 60s in the south. Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy throughout the state with
winds light to moderate from the south but shifting to northwest tonight. Temperatures on Thursday will be much
colder throughout the region.
Trajectory weather: The air mass trajectories move from the Arbuckle Mountains to the east and northeast
over eastern Oklahoma on moderate winds. The trajectories show moderate characteristics for entrainment and travel
of pollen downwind. Partly to cloudy skies and seasonal temperatures will prevail across the region but high humidity
will occur at the source site today making conditions only moderately favorable for pollen release.
OUTLOOK: *** Low to Moderate Threat today ***
Conditions only moderately favorable conditions for pollen release. Temperatures will just reach the favorable
range in the Arbuckle Mountains with high humidity. The resulting conditions are only moderately favorable.
