Regional Weather: Sunday, 13 Jan 2013 - OK/TX:
The cold front that pushed through the region yesterday will remain in place for the next few days bringing below
average temperatures to Oklahoma and Texas. Daytime highs will be in the upper 30s to low 40s in Oklahoma and the
40s to mid 50s in Texas. Nighttime lows will be at or near freezing throughout the region, and moderate winds will
be be from the north. Skies will be clear to partly cloudy.
Trajectory weather: Air mass trajectories over the Edwards Plateau move south today but then curve around
to the west overnight and continue curving to the north tomorrow. Trajectories show little lift this afternoon.
Temperatures across the plateau are cold this morning and will only warm to the upper 40s to mid 50s this afternoon.
Overnight temperatures will range from the upper teens on the western side of the plateau to the mid 30s in the
south. Skies will be clear to partly cloudy and winds will be from the north.
OUTLOOK: *** Low to Moderate Threat today and Moderate Threat
tomorrow *** Mixed conditions for pollen release today with poor conditions for transport. Tomorrow
poor to moderate conditions for release. In some areas across the plateau, temperatures will reach the favorable
range for pollen release this afternoon under clear to partly cloudy skies. This will result in some local pollen
release, especially on the eastern side of the plateau. However, conditions for transport are poor today and any
pollen released will stay close to source areas.
