Regional weather: Monday, January 11 - TX/OK: Partly cloudy to mostly sunny and mild today and tonight. Highs in the 60's, lows mostly in the 40's with some 30's north and some 50's south TX. Windy northern sections today because of a low pressure system in the central plains. This system will affect the region on Tuesday. Little, if any, rain expected but the wind shift is evident in today's trajectories.

OUTLOOK: *** SERIOUS Threat *** Conditions are quite favorable for pollen release today. Mid-morning temperatures are already in the favorable range and humidities, though high, are dropping. Winds are moderate to strong. Significant release expected. Note the difference in the trajectories. Pollen from the eastern end of the Plateau will continue to move north and east (ahead of the front) on Tuesday......while airborne pollen from central and western sections of the Plateau will have more direct interaction with the front and turn to the south Tuesday night. Airborne pollen will be moving through central and northern Texas today......northern Texas and southern Oklahoma overnight....and northern and eastern Oklahoma on Tuesday. Pollen released from the eastern end of the Plateau will be travelling faster.....affecting residents of southeast OK overnight and southern Missouri on Tuesday. Washout of airborne pollen appears likely on Tuesday evening in eastern Missouri. TK
