Mountain Cedar Pollen Forecast

Date Issued: 11 January 1998

Mountain Cedar location(s): Arbuckle Mountains, OK

Regional weather: Monday, January 11 - TX/OK: Partly cloudy to mostly sunny and mild today and tonight. Highs in the 60's, lows mostly in the 40's with some 30's north and some 50's south TX. Windy northern sections today because of a low pressure system in the central plains. This system will affect the region on Tuesday. Little, if any, rain expected but the wind shift is evident in today's trajectories.

Trajectory weather: Mostly sunny today, high in the low 60's. Becoming mostly cloudy tonight, low in the 30's. Cloudy with a chance of rain or snow on Tuesday, high in the 30's.

Trajectory confidence: High

OUTLOOK: *** Moderate Threat *** Conditions are somewhat favorable for pollen release. The temperature and humidity near the source will be in the favorable range during the afternoon hours. Airborne pollen amounts from this source will be low due to its size.....but the forecast track moves quickly over eastern Oklahoma and through Tulsa by this evening. Residents of this region may feel some additional ill effects, beyond those produced by yesterday's release from Texas.Effects from this source on the residents of Missouri should be much less noticeable. Any airborne pollen will likely be washed out of the atmosphere on Tuesday. TK

Trajectory Start(s) (shown by green dot on map): Sulfur, Oklahoma
