Regional weather: Wednesday, January 27 - TX/OK: Low pressure/frontal system moving in from the northwest today. Variable cloudiness today....increasing to mostly cloudy all areas tonight and Thursday. Chance of rain after midnight tonight for most locales and continuing into Thursday. Warm today with highs in the 60's and 70's. Lows tonight ranging from 20's northwest to 60's TX coast. Cooler on Thursday behind the front with steady or falling temperatures during the day for many areas.

Trajectory weather: Austin: Variably cloudy today, high in the 70's. Mostly cloudy tonight with a chance of showers late, low in the mid-40's. Rain likely on Thursday, temperatures holding in the mid-40's. Junction/San Angelo: Partly cloudy this afternoon, high in the low 70's. Cloudy tonight with a slight chance of showers/thunderstorms, low in the low 40's. Rain changing to snow on Thursday with temperatures dropping into the 30's.

Trajectory confidence: High....note the strong vertical motion of the trajectories!

OUTLOOK: *** Moderate Threat *** Now that we are nearing the end of the season, decreasing amounts of airborne pollen are expected. Conditions are favorable for pollen release during the afternoon hours. Moderate release expected. Residents of central and northern Texas may feel some ill effects as pollen moves through those areas this afternoon and tonight. Pollen released from eastern sections of the Plateau will move through south-central and eastern Oklahoma tonight also. Precipitation will wash out any airborne spores after the 12Z timepost on Thursday (6am local) for all trajectories. TK
