Summer Pollen

During the summer, pollen levels are generally low in Eastern Oklahoma. The tree pollen season is over. Typically, grass pollen and a few types of weed pollen occur in June and July. Many individuals are sensitive to grass pollen, and this can be a problem even though the concentrations are low.

Starting in August, weed pollen increases in the atmosphere and by the end of August, ragweed pollen is often abundant. The peak of the ragweed season is typically the second week of September. Ragweed pollen continues in the atmosphere throughout the fall.
